Pasela stands for "Promoting And Supporting Early Literacy through the Arts". Their purpose is to enhance literacy through an arts-integrated education system. They wanted a look that didn't come across as appearing like a box of Crayola's, but at the same time a bit fun and more serious. In the end, they are very pleased with the result!
Designing the PASELA (Promoting and Supporting Early Literacy through the Arts) website was a complex task. The website needed to creatively capture the numerous community based organizations, child care facilities, artists and educators involved in the project. The site also needed to be extremely user-friendly in order to provide access to the underlying mission of PASELA…research on the connection between the arts and development of literacy skills.
Steph Bertha of GotMedia was perfect for the project. She was quick to understand the need to make the site informative, artistic, simple, yet detailed. The PASELA website is an excellent tool we use for marketing the value of the arts in early childhood education.
